Climb with Purpose

The mountains have always been at the heart of Tiger of the Snows Fund.

Tiger of the Snows was born from the climbing community, and climbers continue to play an important role in making our work possible.

From contributions built into every Climbing the Seven Summits (CTSS) expedition to dedicated fundraising climbs, the people who head into the mountains with us are also helping support the guides, workers, families, and communities behind those experiences.

EVERY CTSS
EXPEDITION
GIVES BACK

Your climb supports something bigger.

A portion of every CTSS expedition is directly donated to the Tiger of the Snows Fund. During the application process, each climber has the opportunity to choose where they would like their contribution directed, allowing them to support the work that speaks most to them while making giving back part of every CTSS expedition.

In 2025, CTSS operated 52 expeditions around the world, with every team contributing to the Tiger of the Snows Fund.

Where did CTSS climbers choose
to direct their support in 2025?

54% Education for the child of an outdoor tourism worker

31% Mountaineering training for a climbing Sherpa in Nepal’s Khumbu Valley

15% Medical or English-language training for an outdoor tourism worker

Those choices helped support both the next generation and the workers whose skills, experience, and dedication make mountain tourism possible today.

FUNDRAISING CLIMBS

Taking fundraising into the mountains.

Tiger of the Snows Mount Rainier fundraising climbs bring climbers and guides together around a shared mountain objective while raising money to support outdoor tourism workers and their families.

Over the years, the climb has become one of the Fund’s biggest community fundraising efforts. Proceeds have helped support education projects in Nepal and Tanzania, scholarships for children in Nepal, and other Tiger of the Snows programs as needs arise.

It is a simple idea with a lot of meaning behind it: using our own time in the mountains to support the people and families who make those experiences possible.

TURN YOUR CLIMB INTO IMPACT

More Ways to Climb With Purpose

Fundraising for Tiger of the Snows has never been limited to one mountain. Climbers have used expeditions, personal objectives, and community fundraising efforts to help generate support for the Fund and the people it serves.

Whether through a future Tiger of the Snows fundraising climb or by turning your own mountain objective into an opportunity to give back, there are plenty of ways to make the summit mean a little more.

In 2025, in collaboration with Climbing the Seven Summits and the Tiger of the Snows Fund, 15-year-old Ethan Ong gave a nearly $10,000 donation to the Tendi Sherpa Foundation during his trek to Everest Base Camp.
